Pediatricians’ Concerns Addressed At Gathering Of AAP Leaders

At the AAP Annual Leadership Forum, the main issues discussed were immigrant child health, access to care, and diversity and inclusion. There, most of the resolutions proposed were selected to be solved urgently. Especially, the most important one is that they educate pediatricians on the process of creating partnership between pediatricians and lawyers for immigrant children in need.

Joan Alker, M.Phil., executive director of the Center for Children and Families and a research professor at the Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy, joined Mann in a discussion facilitated by AAP Committee on Federal Government Affairs Chair Lynda M. Young, M.D., FAAP.
