HHS Announces Navigator Awards

As October 1 fast approaches, we continue to learn more about resources available in states to help guide families through the enrollment process. Today, HHS announced recipients of $67 million in grants to fund navigators in the 33 states where the federal government will operate the insurance marketplaces.  (We outlined the funding opportunity on Say Ahh! back in March).

See the list of 100+ awardees listed by state here.

Regular Say Ahhh! readers know navigators make one of several consumer assistance avenues, all of which are detailed in the last month’s final federal regulations on the topic.

Tricia Brooks— CCF’s in-house navigator of all things consumer assistance-related— is out for a few days of well-deserved vacation but will be back soon with more on this and other outreach topics so stay tuned to Say Ahhh! In the meantime, you can catch up on the topic here.
