Joe Touschner is state health policy analyst for the Center on Children and Families (CCF). In this capacity, he supports the efforts of state level advocates to improve health care coverage policies for children and families. He also conducts research on Medicaid, SCHIP, and related topics.
Before joining CCF, Mr. Touschner served as assistant director for state government affairs for the American Academy of Physician Assistants. He provided strategic and technical assistance to state chapters in their legislative and regulatory advocacy. He also served on the staff of members of the Ohio General Assembly from 2001-2003. Joe earned a master’s degree in public policy from the Humphrey Institute of the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s in history from Kenyon College in Ohio.
