Medicaid expansions; separate CHIP programs are shown under children’s CHIP. In Minnesota, the infant category under "regular" Medicaid includes children up to age 2. Under "regular" Medicaid, income eligibility for infants is up to 275% FPL, and under CHIP, eligibility for infants is between 275% and 280% FPL. Under "regular" Medicaid, income eligibility for children ages 2-19 is up to 150% FPL, and under the Section 1115 waiver, income eligibility for children in this age group is between 150% and 275% FPL. The Section 1115 waiver provides coverage for children up to age 21.

8: In states with administrative verification, families do not have to provide verification of income, and such states generally verify this information by accessing data from other government agencies. In Minnesota, the income verification requirement at enrollment and renewal was eliminated in the state's waiver coverage program.
9: Renewal procedures differ for children enrolled in Medicaid, depending
on whether they are eligible under "regular" Medicaid or under
expansions pursuant to waivers. In "regular" Medicaid, income is reviewed every 6 months and eligibility is reviewed every 12 months. Those who qualify under the state's Section 1115 waiver have eligibility reviewed every 12 months.
