The Southern States meeting is intended for attendees from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Travel Plans


Flights

To make flight reservations, please e-mail Jean MacDonald at West End Travel at jeanm@westend.us. Your flight charges will be billed directly to the Center for Children and Families.

Mileage

Those who drive rather than fly to Tampa can be reimbursed for mileage. Click here for reimbursement form.

Airport Transfers

The InterContinental provides a complimentary shuttle for transportation from the Tampa International Airport to the hotel. The shuttle departs from the hotel every 30 minutes, on the hour and half-hour. Attendees can 1) use the phone located at baggage claim (there is a 2-digit code on the phone for the hotel) or 2) call the hotel from their cell phone at 813-286-4400 and an InterContinental guest services agent will direct them as to where to go for pick up - the areas designated as Red 1, Red 2, Blue 1, or Blue 2.

Those who indicated on the RSVP questionnaire a need for funding support for lodging will have their room and tax charges for March 3 and March 4 billed to the master account. However, a credit card will be required for all reservations and check-in; you will be responsible for any additional charges incurred during your stay. If you would like to change your request for funding assistance, please e-mail Joe Touschner at jdt38@georgetown.edu.

Meals


Breakfast and lunch are provided on March 4th and 5th. If you have special dietary needs, please contact Theresa Jordan at jordant@georgetown.edu.
