
Wesley Prater
Senior Health Policy Analyst
Wesley Prater is senior health policy analyst at the Center for Children and Families (CCF). He focuses on examining the implications of the health reform law and working with advocates at the state level to improve health coverage for low-income children and families.
Prior to joining CCF, Mr. Prater worked as a policy analyst at the Center for Mississippi Health Policy. At the Center for Mississippi Health Policy, he worked with policymakers and advocates to stimulate policy discussions on health reform, Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), children’s mental health, and childhood obesity. He earned his Master of Public Health degree in health policy and administration from Yale University and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Jackson State University.
