CHIPRA Cycle II Grantees: Successful Strategies to Enroll Eligible Children in Medicaid and CHIP

By Martha Heberlein

February 27, 2012

Join us for a webinar on Monday, February 27 to hear about new and innovative outreach strategies to enroll eligible children in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). We will feature three outstanding projects from among the 39 grantees selected for the second round of $40 million in CHIPRA outreach grants. The Cycle II grants focus on five areas:

  1. Using technology to facilitate enrollment and renewal.
  2. Retaining eligible children in coverage.
  3. Engaging schools in outreach, enrollment and renewal activities.
  4. Reaching children who are most likely to experience gaps in coverage.
  5. Ensuring eligible teens are enrolled and stay covered.

Our friends from the Legal Aid of Southwest Ohio, Miami Children’s Hospital, and the Michigan Primary Care Association will share their exciting success stories and outreach efforts in reaching eligible children for Medicaid and CHIP.
