Children’s Health Coverage Report 2023 Press Call

Listen to the Press Call Recording

A new Georgetown University report with state-by-state data finds the child uninsured rate improved in 2022 due in large part to the federal Medicaid continuous coverage protection. This federal requirement ended in April and state Medicaid agencies started the unprecedented task of redetermining eligibility for all Medicaid enrollees, leading to large net declines in Medicaid enrollment including more than two million children and counting. The vast majority of children losing Medicaid coverage during the unwinding are still eligible, according to federal estimates.

Join the report authors, a state health policy expert and a representative of the American Academy of Pediatrics for a press call to discuss the report and the impact of the unwinding on children.

When: November 15, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. ET (10:30 CT/9:30 MT/8:30 PT)
