Webinar: Unwinding – Where Do We Go From Here?

As unbelievable as it may seem, the “unwinding,” or the return to routine operations following the end of the FFCRA’s continuous coverage requirement, is nearing completion for almost all states. With a net decrease of almost 10.6 million enrolled in Medicaid, including over 4 million children, and a long list of issues that need to be addressed, states still have a lot of work to do.

Together with the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, CCF held a webinar on Monday, April 15 at 3pm ET and discussed where Medicaid stakeholders go from here. CCF highlighted where states are now, next steps for state compliance with federal requirements, best practices that should be continued beyond the unwinding, and potential new developments including the final eligibility and enrollment rule. Additionally, we discussed outreach strategies to reconnect eligible children and families who lost Medicaid back to coverage.
