Celebrating 10 Years of Working Together to Improve Health Coverage for Children and Families

Last night, we celebrated ten years of success with our state and national partners. Liane Wong of the David and Lucile Packard Foundation MC’d the event. On behalf of CCF and the Foundation, she thanked all of those in the room saying: “It takes a village and YOU are the CCF village.”

Liane singled out the three co-founders – Cindy Mann, Joan Alker and Jocelyn Guyer along with Gene Lewit – for their vision and creation of a unique model of collaboration between state advocates, researchers and national organizations. I cannot capture in words how moving the evening was so I’ll resort to my favorite phrase from small town newspaper society columns … “fun was had by all”.

For those of you who missed the big night, please watch the video and toast yourselves for all you have done to help children and families get the health care they need to succeed. Hope to see you all at next year’s conference. It will be hard to top 2015 but we’ll try our very best.
