A study by Georgetown University Health Policy Institute in 2014 documented these differences. Using as an example a child with cerebral palsy, another developmental disorder that requires multiple therapies and medical treatments, it was noted that on KidsCare the annual costs to the parents would be between $120 and $600, which is the cost of the monthly premiums.
