Medicaid/CHIP Eligibility Levels for Children, Pregnant Women, Parents, and Childless Adults
Based on a national survey conducted by the Georgetown University Center for Children and Families (CCF) and Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured (KCMU). Eligibility levels are based on 2016 Federal Poverty Levels (FPLs) for a family of three for children, pregnant women, and parents, and for an individual for childless adults. The FPL is $20,160 for a family of three and $11,880 for an individual in the 48 contiguous states and the District of Columbia. Alaska and Hawaii have separate poverty guidelines. In Alaska, the FPL is $25,200 for a family of three and $14,840 for an individual. In Hawaii, the FPL is $23,190 for a family of three and $13,670 for an individual.
