Silvana Mazzella
has been the Lead Executive Officer of Prevention Point Philadelphia (PPP) since September of 2024. Prior to this role, Silvana had been the Interim Lead Executive Officer, Associate Executive Director, Director of Programs, and Senior Program Coordinator. In her current role, Silvana manages the Executive Leadership team of the organization, all major municipal, community, financial, and academic partnerships, the relationship between the organization and the Board of Directors, as well as Development, Communications, and other Consultants. Over 18 years at PPP, Silvana has helped develop, plan, implement, evaluate, and grow many of PPP’s programs, interventions, locations, clinics, and financial, community, and programmatic infrastructure.

Prior to working at Prevention Point, Silvana worked at the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, in the Division of Maternal, Child and Family Health (MCFH), an HIV clinic and hospital, and prior to that with several non-profits in a program management, recruiting, and consulting role. Silvana holds a Bachelor’s in Social Work, a Master of Arts in Geography and Urban Studies, and recently served for several years as adjunct faculty in the Department of Geography and Urban Studies at Temple University, teaching largely about research, drugs, and drug policy.
