Obamacare Repeal And Texas?

A recent report by Urban Institute showed that repealing the Affordable Care Act would take away healthcare coverage from about 30 million Americans nationwide, and about 2.6 million Texans. On top of this, the director of the Children’s Defense Fund-Texas, Patrick Bresette, mentioned that repealing the ACA would also have adverse effects on the healthcare market and the United States’ economy.

Joan Alker, executive director of the Center for Children and Families at Georgetown University, says that under the ACA, 95 percent of American children now have health insurance.

“But now Congress is poised to take a U-turn and taking away affordable coverage options which would actually double the number of uninsured kids,” she states.
