CCF Welcomes Adriana Kohler to Our Team

Earlier this week, CCF welcomed Adriana Kohler to our team. Many of us know Adriana from her years as one of our state Finish Line partners in Texas where she served as the Policy Director of Texans Care for Children for many years. We are thrilled that Adriana is joining us to work on a project tracking state implementation of Medicaid work reporting requirements.

In Adriana’s most recent role as Policy Director at Texans Care for Children, she led the team’s work across multiple policy areas and shaped the strategic vision for the organization’s advocacy. She designed and managed multi-year advocacy campaigns that resulted in landmark policy changes in Texas, including extending postpartum Medicaid coverage, establishing strong nutrition standards in child care settings, reducing barriers to children’s health insurance, and increasing access to maternal mental health screenings and treatment, among other successes.

Previously, Adriana worked in Washington, D.C. as a Public Policy Analyst at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, where she led national efforts to improve consumer protections in health insurance and strengthen access to preventive care. She began her career at the law firm Patton Boggs, counseling clients on complex regulatory issues involving Medicare, Medicaid, and CHIP.

Adriana holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. She’s a proud alumna of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) internship program and the Casey Foundation Children’s Health Leadership Network Program.

Adriana lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband and two sons. In her spare time, she loves running, hiking with her family, exploring Austin coffee shops, cooking, and attempting to manage the chaos at home with her two young kids.

This is my favorite kind of blog to write! In difficult times with so much cruelty and corruption surrounding us, it is a joy to welcome such a committed, skilled, and kind colleague to our team. Welcome Adriana!
