According to the new report by Georgetown University’s Center for Children and Families, Texas still has one of the highest uninsured children rate. Between 2013 and 2015, Texas only decreased that uninsured children rate by 3% thanks to the Affordable Care Act.

One out of every five uninsured kids in the country lives in Texas, according to a new study out of Georgetown University. This means Texas’ rate of uninsured children is among the worst in the nation, second only to the uninsured rate in Alaska, which has 6.8 million fewer children than Texas.
