The State of Texas: Trump Claims “Vote-Flipping” Is Happening In Texas (It Isn’t)

The new report by Georgetown University’s Center for Children and Families presented data that shows that Texas and Alaska have been the only two states that – between 2013 and 2015 – are above the national average rate for uninsured children. Texas only dropped from 16.6% to 9.5% between those years. Thus, Texas has a long way to go with their coverage agenda, as Joan Alker, CCF’s executive director, mentioned.

A recently released report by the Georgetown University Center for Children and Families shows that Texas accounts for an astounding 20 percent of the nation’s uninsured children with a staggering 682,000 kids without health insurance coverage in 2015.
