A study conducted by the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) and the Georgetown Center for Children and Families (CCF), found that over 11 percent of Hispanic children are uninsured, compared to a 7 percent of all kids nationwide. In this article, Sonya Schwartz, co-author of the study and fellow at CCF, speaks about why there is such a high uninsurance rate for the Hispanic population and what could be done to improve this disproportionate rate.
